Maternity Care

Ante-natal and post-natal care are carried out by our community midwife Kamla Cook, and the partners.

Routine ante-natal care clinics are usually held on Wednesdays with a separate initial booking clinic with the midwife on Wednesday mornings and follow-up appointments in the afternoons. To make ante-natal arrangements, please see your doctor when you are sure you are pregnant.

The community midwife works closely with the doctors, and an ante-natal clinic is held each week. She also visits maternity patients at home, and runs ante-natal classes with the health visitors.

Is your baby sleeping safely?

A video is available online which will ensure your baby is sleeping safely, and help prevent sudden deaths. It has been produced by The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, the UK's leading cot death and infant health charity in partnership with child sleep specialist, Andrea Grace, to bring parents the best advice on safe sleep for their baby.
